for those who are willing 

there is a way for the determined 

at the heart of the matter is a directive 

where does your purpose lie? 

do you know your reason for waking up? 

what motivates you to push forward? 

we are dedicated to the cause 

we are not finite, we are infinite 

we exist apart from land and sky 

we climb above the ethos 

into the essence of eternity 

floating above reality 

on the foot-steps of forever 

underneath unsettled sky 

living on a memory 

that dwells in seaweed rocked tides 

a stranger in the night of day 

passing by familiar scenes 

making nothing beyond a sweet whisper 

among the autumn leaves 

sapphire red moss that grew green 

vigor pays homage to death by decay 

cycle of life they say  

a price that every living thing must pay

youth feels like immorality

till time slips away

we climb above the ethos
