This week, I found out that someone I respected was plotting against me. It irritated me a little. I felt shook and disturbed by the reality that I misjudged their character. How do I move forward? Without being disappointed by the reality that I have been betrayed. Oftentimes, we build rapports with people only to realize that the genuine respect and kindness we give them isn’t reciprocated. How many people achieved their success through the work of their hands without plotting on or setting up other people for advancement? I believe in my heart that amazing things can occur with hard work and dedication. I believe that there is a narrow path traveled by those seeking a noble way to reach the mountaintop. But if too many people are seeking the easy way out of a hard situation… society as we know it will crumble under the weight of evil intentions led by ambitions gone awry. Friends are wonderful when you align yourself with good people but sometimes it pays to be aware of the individuals that you stand beside.
