I use to go down memory lane

Just to see you…

The silhouette of your face

In front of the TV screen

Was all I could envision

 

The words I dared to say

But REFUSED to mention

Would come out but fail

To grab your attention

 

Your face remained frozen in time

This is a poor rendition

Of a feature film cut short

A low budget, romantic comedy

With a script that didn’t work

 

But it was still worth revisiting for me

A far, yet treasured memory

At the bastion base

In my heart’s deep sea
