Late Night Poetry: A Dream

To wrap you in my arms

And speak to you with muddled words

Grasping onto empty promises of forever

But add up to maybes and nevers

Despite our moments together

You are an anomaly

But when we pull each others strings

Our odds and ends make a symphony

And that’s why I love to have you next to me

But alas, I will not wait for you endlessly

Some things are better left a dream

Love always, Ayesha
