The economy in the United States of America is in struggle mode. While corporate giants are making major gains with AI, cuts are being made to the very employees that assisted their rise. We stand at a precipice as a country. Do we trade in human manpower for an AI assisted workforce?
Countless layoffs in tech, government, trucking, retail and food service have left many feeling obsolete. But I believe that this is just the being. Companies are slimming down for work optimization. As the concept of job instability is fading into the background… everyday people are forced to face a painful reality.
We need to diversify. I have been watching countless YouTube and TikToK videos of people recording and talking about being fired and or laid off. It’s painful to hear the voices of many people united as a resounding storm that echoes that sound of pain. The cost of energy bills, food, insurance, car and mortgages has created a financial desperation for countless people.
What we are seeing is a deterioration of the American dream which never really existed for many of us anyway. Nevertheless, the cries of the masses seem to proliferate 2025. This year has put a lot in perspective for me. It’s drawn me closer to Jesus.
I have been calling on the Lord like forty going north (If you know, you know lol). But he has never let me down. So I will cling to Him and grab His robe like the women with the issue of blood. The reality is that many of us are bleeding from the inside out.
There was a time when my identity was attached to my level of career success but that time is long gone and I couldn’t be happier. We are more than workers. We are not just cogs feeding the machine of America. We are breathing, loving, laughing, living miracles. Everyday that we keep pushing forward, we give birth to the hope of tomorrow.
There is no mountain that we can’t scale. No valley that we can’t come out of. No desert heat that we can’t bare. No fight that we can’t win when we try. Don’t ever let a job determine your worth. You are a conqueror. Your not alone. You are among friends. So keep going!!!
Love always, Ayesha
