Precarious Love

Precarious Love

What is it?

This delectable love thing…

It is teeth clenched (on an ear pull)?

Or is it the air pushed off a bat’s wing?

We don’t know what it is

But it awakens every sensation in the body

It goes on dates

It lives to party.

But oddly…

It fails to deliberate

Easily turning into silent jealousy and open hate

An invisible line which seals love’s fate.

One day it was wickedly toxic

The next… it’s beyond great

We dance on the winding spindle of give and take

Never willing to give up (until it’s too late).

What is it?

This delectable love thing…

It is teeth clenched (on an ear pull)?

Or is it the air pushed off a bat’s wing?

Foregoing the origin

It has been known to make a numb heart sing.

Until next time, Esha ❤
