Lost

We don’t fight for noble hopes 

An equity unmatched sits outside 

Of closed doors but we remain

Unaware of it’s existence 

 

We fight to be seen 

On social media filled screens

Rocking crop tops and express jeans

Even if it demands we flash green  

No matter the cost

 

You can temporarily buy acceptance

It makes you feel a little less alone

Despite being lost

Caught up in a cyber reality seen as orthodox
