A Guide

I stare at the moon

Waiting for constellations to form in the sky

Take me home soon

I need a guide that’s way up high

The winds of change

Keep on rearranging

My mind is alive

But my heart is vacant

So when people ask me if i’m okay

I’d rather not say shit

I don’t want to lie

And I don’t want to be a hypocrite

We’re living in a world

Where opposites attract

As of late, fate has entered my door

And we’re attached

Whenever I’m down

Reassurance has my back

We rolling like 4 flats on a red Cadillac

Pushing down Cicero

2 blocks from nowhere,

Across from the swisher store

But we don’t give a damn

So we still blast the radio

Bumping our heads like everything’s normal

That’s fate and me

Weeping can last a day

But at night God gives me company

Catching falling, salty tears

In his welcoming hands

As I stare at the moon

Love always, Esha <3
