every time visions of you

run across my mind

i get a lump in my throat

 

you didn’t want me

when you had me

now you need me

more than ever before

 

but i can’t cope

with the concept of letting you come back

as though the wild goose chases

you led me on were okay

 

when i wanted to hear your voice

i couldn’t pay you to say, hi

but that’s okay

 

i’m with someone new

so i stopped crying

about the things you used to do

i found strength in getting over you
