Yesterday’s Seeds

Yesterday’s Seeds

pull back the heavy curtains
on this whimsical narrative
we were forged in the fire of humble beginnings determined to thrive
we make sense out of a penny’s worth of knowledge of logic

we plant seasoned seashells in barren gardens
then pray for cold, adequate rain
pray for strength on weak days
and the ability to sustain
while enduring toil and pain

we watch little seeds turn into blossoming plants
that yield food worthy of our living room dinner plates
we take comfort in knowing
more then we did yesterday

Love always, Esha ❤
