enter a store… only to forget what you went in for

we amass and inspect pretty things

we like the look of new, the shine of bling

bouncing from wheat grass smoothies to rocky road ice-cream

two minutes later… gawking at wedding rings

materialism and fantasy coincides in the mall

love connections happen here

interview attire, hot combs, school clothes

and movie tickets are brought here

we search for ourselves in clothes we select

ironed out hopes put on hold

knowing our bodies will make them whole

our personality will give them character

our scent will lift the fabric fibers…
