When we arise in the morning we have a strong belief that the seed of success within us is growing’ this point out that, we all need a daily dose of motivation in a world full of ups and downs leaving us with stress on how to achieve success.
In us lies the strength to make us creators of circumstances other than creatures of circumstances; this is why, Dr. Myles Monroe, who made a mark as a preacher, thinker, and leader, came up with the seven principles of an eagle which should educate and motivate you.
Eagles fly alone at high attitude.
Eagles soar the highest above the clouds than any other bird. From this first of the seven principles of an eagle, you learn that you should separate yourself from people who do not share your ambitions. Most of the people that will want to bring you down usually are those who have accomplished nothing in life. It’s time to get rid of that friend who says that your degree will get you nowhere or that your business will not get a large market or will fail yet all they do is sit around idling. Find your fellow achievers and journey on to success. This principle also teaches you to be a leader just like an eagle is.
Eagles have strong vision.
One of the eagle’s characteristics is when it sees its prey five kilometers away, he narrows its focus to it and sets out to get it. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will grab it’ this eagle’s way is no different from any other successful person’s out there. They are they kind of people who no matter the circumstances, they will strive to achieve what they set out to. In your workplace or business, you shouldn’t let challenges deter you from achieving you goals” there are going to be many obstacles, for instance, you might start up a business venture and the city council is always on your back not to mention friends and family who constantly keep discouraging you but your goal is to buy that Lamborghini you have been dreaming of. Remain focused on your end goal no matter the obstacles. Do not let them move your focus, keep going.
Eagles do not eat dead things’ they feed only on fresh prey.
For success, it is vital to be abreast with new changes in the market/field you are focused in by gathering new information and knowledge. The more you know the more open minded you become, always do your research well to stay clear of outdated information to make sure your work or business remains marketable. If you sell clothes for instance don’t sell trousers while everybody is wearing shorts, you will stagnate. Vultures eat dead animals and see where it got them, nowhere???
Eagles love the storm.
When the clouds gather, the eagles get excited. It uses the storm’s wind to lift it higher, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift him above the clouds giving the eagle an opportunity to glide above the storm and rest it wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the leaves and branches of trees.
In life things beyond our control are bound to happen and when they do, most people are devastated but also hold the choice to either crash or come out strongly. In effect, people should not run away from the storm but fight on to rise to greater heights. Achievers relish challenges and use them profitably.
The eagle tests before it trusts.
When a female and a male eagle meet and they want to mate, the female flies down the earth with the male pursuing her, picks a twig and flies up the sky numerously for hours, each time the male bringing the twig back to her. Him bringing her the twig shows commitment and only then will she allow him to mate with her.
It is important to test other people before you get into partnership or relationships with them. There always will be that person with ill intention. Be cautious.
Eagles invest in training others.
When about to lay eggs, the female and male eagle identify a high place on a cliff where no predators can reach. The male eagle is responsible for making the nest and he does so using thorns, twigs, grass and his feathers to complete the nest. This preparation teaches us to prepare for changes.
The thorns on the outside of the nest protect it from possible intruders. Both male and female eagles participate in raising the eagle family. The preparation for the family teaches us that active participation of both partners leads to success.
When the eaglets have grown they are thrown out of the nest and the soft layering is removed. They get pricked until they learn how to fly. This eagle’s principle tells us that sometimes being too comfortable where we are may result in our not experiencing life, not progressing, and not learning at all. There is need to grow.
When an eagle grows old and his feathers become weak, he retires to a faraway place and plucks out every feather on his body. When his new feathers grow he comes out of his hiding place. This way of an eagle shows that as human beings, we need to renew ourselves to avoid failure. You just need to identify the things bringing you down, discard them and start afresh.
The eagle symbolizes courage, strength and immortality which are essential for success. Be an eagle and soar high above all”
